Holistic Foundational Health Coaching...
My passion for health and fitness began with my own journey, over 20 years ago, during college when the stress and anxiety started to have devastating effects on my life.
At the time, when traditional options offered me nothing I wanted, I decided to do a full overhaul of my own health and habits. I began investing and learned of holistic and natural solutions for health and well-being that ultimately gave me amazing results. This journey led me to Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I graduated in 2007 as a Holistic Health Coach and more recently, to becoming a Certified Life and ADD/ADHD Coach from the ADD Coaching Academy (ADDCA).
I understand all-to-well the feeling of being overwhelmed and bombarded by school, family, work, business demands, etc. and wanting to succeed at it all! I discovered through coaching and building on one’s strengths and incorporating simple solutions can lead to incredible results.
My experience can help YOU discover your hidden strengths, interests and utilize them to achieve results in your life. My passion is helping people incorporate simple and natural steps to achieve their goals with noticeable results.
My style of coaching relies on incorporating your interest and using strength-based coaching, along with natural and practical solutions, so that you can start experiencing success and results right away!
As your coach, I will guide you and celebrate your successes with you and help you carve out a clear and focused plan. I try to make the experience fun along the way. I believe that when you are excited, and enjoying your success, whether big or small, you’re on the road to achieving your goals.
In addition to coaching, I have varied interests and passions. I am an entrepreneur helping to develop multiple businesses over the past 20 years. I enjoy the water- boating and fishing. I am also a private pilot. I love and study all that relates to fitness, nutrition and personal development.
What is ADHD Coaching?
In the coaching partnership, it is the client that takes the lead by sharing their goals, dreams and vision of what they would like to achieve with the coach.
In working with me the client will discover their personal strengths and talents as well as areas that need to be nurtured.
My style is to always begin with strengths, therefore always coming from a positive foundation, from there, we can create positive changes. In my Holistic ADHD coaching, I especially focus on the positives because that guides the ADHD wired brain to let the possibilities come alive.
Coaching is very different from counseling, therapy, or mentoring.
According to the International Coach Federation, the role of a coach is to help the client discover and clarify goals and aspirations, encourage self-discovery, elicit client generated strategies and solutions, and provide accountability to help individuals improve their outlook on life or work to reach their potential.
In addition to her training as a life coach, I also received specialized training as an ADHD coach. This training, along with my extensive experience in education, gives me the ability to help clients understand their own unique brain wiring. Through my coaching clients discover not only the specific barriers created by executive function challenges, but more importantly, strengths such as creativity, humor, and leadership that become the fuel for positive change.
